Bare Wire Division, Camden NY


Machine Operators

We are looking for machine operators to work in our manufacturing plants.  Positions will involve the setup and operation of wire fabricating equipment.  Fork truck operation is required as well.  These position are typically on nights and will involve working a 12 hour rotating shift that includes weekends.

Quality Manager - Cazenovia, NY

International Wire Group, Inc. headquartered in Camden, New York is the largest bare copper wire and copper wire products manufacturer in the United States with operations in Europe. We, together with our subsidiaries, manufacture and market wire products, including bare and tin-plated copper wire, engineered wire products and high performance conductors for other insulated wire manufacturers, wire and cable distributors and original equipment manufacturers or "OEM's".

General Description:

We are seeking an energetic, dedicated individual to be a Quality Manager for the Continental Cordage Division.  This position will be located at our Cazenovia, NY facility.  In addition, this position will include oversight of the Quality System at our Hamilton Products facility located in Sherburne, NY.  Both locations specialize in the manufacture of braided wire products.

This role requires a data-driven leader who has the strong technical background and exceptional people skills necessary to be an effective influencer of others while rolling out and sustaining new or improved quality programs. The Quality Manager will develop, implement and manage quality control systems at these facilities.  Currently the Cazenovia facility is IATF 16949 certified and the Sherburne facility is ISO 9001 certified. 

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology is preferred; or three to five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Supervisory/Management experience is preferred.
• Quality certifications are preferred 
• Exceptional written and spoken communication skills
• Exceptional computer and data analysis skills
• Excel Spreadsheet competence
• Competency in both ISO 9001 and AS9100 is required 
• Understanding of IATF 16949 is preferred but not required 

 

Responsibilities include:

1. Communicate effectively with management and all levels within the organization on quality-related issues
2. Manage and implement and update the current quality systems
3. Train, supervise and develop applicable inspection and testing criteria to meet day to day requirements
4. Maintains systems for Customer and Vendor requested Certifications and Test Reports
5. Manages Corrective Action requests from customers and vendors.
6. Maintain and tracks customer scorecards
7. Schedules and coordinates customer audits, Internal audits,  3rd party Audits and surveillance audits as needed
8. Manage and implement Preventative Action and Continuous Improvement program
9. Coordinate and support customer, internal, and layered audits
10. Owner of various Plant level procedures
11. Issues requests for Corrective Action to Suppliers
12. Maintain and track Supplier Performance data,
13. Manage Test Equipment and calibration system
14. Manage the RMA System as related to Quality
15. Support problem solving activities
16. 3E System – Quality Manager would coordinate Material Safety Data Sheets
17. Manage the availability of customer controlled documents
18. Perform Contract Review Quality function on daily work orders
19. Monitor and track scrap and waste
20. Track and update Quality KPI’s
21. Work with IWG Corporate Quality department as needed
